1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your email address, birth details (date, time, and location), questions, reading preferences, and photos submitted for image-based readings. We store account settings, generated reading results, and reading history when a feature says it will be saved. If you connect Patreon, we receive limited Patreon account and membership identifiers, entitlement status, tier, and charge-status information needed to provide access; we do not receive your full card number. We also collect limited device, page, feature-usage, referral, and campaign-attribution data.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: (a) provide the features and personalized readings you request; (b) authenticate and maintain your account, credits, membership access, and reading history; (c) protect the Service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures; (d) evaluate and improve product quality; (e) attribute signups and purchases to campaigns; (f) reconcile payments and entitlements; and (g) send requested or important service messages.

3. Photo Processing

Photos uploaded for face and palm readings are carried in the live request and transmitted to the selected AI service for analysis. FateVine does not intentionally add the raw uploaded image to your saved reading history or application database after that request; it may store the resulting text, record type, model identifier, and related account/history metadata. The AI provider may process or retain request data according to its agreement and privacy controls. Do not submit another person's image without their informed consent.

4. Data Storage & Security

Account data and saved reading results are stored with cloud service providers. Data is encrypted in transit, and providers offer controls designed to protect stored data. No internet service can promise absolute security; we limit access and use technical and organizational safeguards proportionate to the data and feature.

5. Third-Party Services

Service providers may include: (a) Supabase for authentication and application data; (b) configured AI model gateways and providers for text or image analysis; (c) Vercel for hosting and privacy-filtered web analytics; (d) PostHog for product analytics when configured; (e) Patreon for new membership checkout, identity connection, and entitlement events; and (f) legacy payment providers for servicing earlier orders. Fiverr is a separate service if you choose an independent Fiverr offer. A Meta Pixel may run only when that integration is configured. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We disclose only the data reasonably needed to service providers operating the relevant feature, to payment or membership platforms you choose, when you direct us to do so, to protect users and the Service, or when required by law. We do not disclose birth details, questions, or uploaded images to advertising platforms.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law and necessary fraud, accounting, security, or legal retention, you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data and opt out of marketing messages. Disconnecting Patreon stops the FateVine connection but does not cancel a Patreon membership; cancellation must be completed on Patreon. Contact us to exercise a data right.

8. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication and session security. When a visit contains a campaign tag or external referrer, a first-touch attribution value may be kept for up to 90 days in a first-party cookie and local storage. Configured analytics services may use identifiers to measure page and feature usage, and a configured Meta Pixel may measure advertising conversions. Browser controls and blocking tools can restrict non-essential storage, although doing so may reduce measurement accuracy.

9. Children's Privacy

FateVine is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. International Users

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For California residents, CCPA rights apply.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
